Description
1. **Prepare Your Material**: Roll out your gum paste or clay to the desired thickness.
2. **Cut Out Shapes**: Use cutters to cut out the shapes you want to work with.
3. **Place on Foam Pad**: Place the cut-out shape on the foam pad. The soft surface of the foam pad provides support while you work on the details.
4. **Shape and Thin the Edges**: Use a ball tool or other shaping tools to thin the edges of your shapes. Gently press and roll the tool along the edges to create a more natural and delicate look.
5. **Add Details**: Use other tools like veining tools to add details and texture to your shapes. The foam pad will help cushion and support your material as you press into it.
6. **Form and Shape**: For flowers, you might want to cup the petals by pressing in the center and drawing the tool outward. The foam pad’s holes can be used to hold flower wires in place while you work on the petals.
7. **Dry and Assemble**: Once you have shaped and detailed your pieces, let them dry on the foam pad or move them to another surface to dry completely. You can then assemble your flowers
